1 When you are feeling ill
When you are ill, physically ill then people tend to be more helpful and more forthcoming in providing assistance in sharing the workload. Even your boss tends to give you some freedom to work from home or come late to work and leave early. This is because they all can see the injury on the outside and it is tangible.
But if you suffer from mental illness, the only person to deal with it is you yourself. Not because other people don’t want to help, they are either inconsiderate and/or are incapable to handle mental illnesses.

When you get hurt and suffer a physical injury that people can see, there are many friends and well-wishers who know many good doctors who can treat your injury.
But when it comes to mental illnesses, no one will come forward to help you because either they don’t know any good psychiatrists or are ashamed to divulge that they go to one for therapy and counselling. The stigma attached to being a patient with mental illness is tremendous. We must actually encourage and support people who seek help for their mental disorders and depression.
