5 Easy and effective home remedies to remove brown spots of the skin

Brown spots can appear out of nowhere on your skin. These spots cover a lot of area on the skin and also cover the face, which can reduce the attractiveness and beauty of the face. These spots are harmless and usually occur in people above the age of 50, but sometimes, they even occur in younger people, thanks to the skin producing too much or too less of melanin.

This excess or lack of melanin causes skin pigmentation. Exposure to sun can increase the chance of excess melanin been produced in order to save the skin from harmful UV rays of the skin and also prevent skin cancer. These spots are also known as sun spots and can also be caused due to pregnancy or use of birth control methods.

Here are 5 simple home remedies using natural ingredients to remove these spots.

1 Lemon Juice

If you have dark spots, dark neck or dark underarms, lemon juice is the perfect thing for you to lighten that dark skin color. Lemon contains citric acid, which reacts with the excess melanin and reduces the effect of it on the skin.

All you need to do is rub a slice of lemon on the brown spots, two times a day for 10-15 minutes daily and then wash it off with water. You can also take the juice out of the lemon and apply it on the spots, leave it for 20 minutes and then wash it off.

You will need to give lemon 2-3 months to make your skin tone lighter.
