#1. Archer

This is an animated series about a secret agent who is very good at what he does, his overbearing mom who is a pest to him and his crew of colleagues who help him out in the field. It is a series with a twisted sense of humor filled with jokes and fun. The main character goes from one mission to the next getting himself into trouble every time while making you laugh. It is a dark sense of humor and may not be for everyone but it is, for some, a must see series.

#2. Board Walk Empire

This is a series set in the 1920’s when gangsters were pretty much commonplace. The old clothes and Atlantic City old school vibe will make you feel like you are really there, back in time. The plot has the mayor cast as the villain and he does whatever it takes to build up his own personal empire in Atlantic City taking whatever he wants for himself. It is a view into the past and is supposed to be a very interesting storyline.

#3. Californication

In this series, a famous man has a very dangerous and over the top lifestyle filled with more than his share of drugs, sex and alcohol. As the series goes on, his life continues to spiral further and further out of control as his additions to all three deepen and he begins to lose himself in this crazy life that he has constructed for himself. The writing is supposed to be excellent and very captivating.

#4. The Walking Dead

It is exactly what it sounds like. This series has a cast of living human beings in a world where most people are dead, or rather, undead. They have to fight their way through life I n order to keep surviving. It is said that you start to feel for the characters almost automatically and you really link with them. They are all lead by the sheriff in a world where the apocalypse is now and your biggest worry every day is to live to see tomorrow. A lot of people find it very enchanting and addictive to watch people you have come to care for live through a hell on earth.

House of cards stars Kevin Spacey as Francis Underwood, a corrupt congressman trying to destroy the government. This is a political drama that keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. This is a Netflix series that does not appear on television. You can get it on Netflix or as a box set on DVD.
