1 Joshua Ben Longo’s monsters
Joshua Ben Longo is a young American artist and industrial designer who has a special fascination with monsters. His designs range from sculptural type toys, to functional products with a great hairy monstrous personality.
2 Erwin-the little patient
Erwin is a stuffed man who wears hospital pajamas. If you open the abdomen of Erwin, you will see his internal organs, an almost exact replica of real human body.
3 The internal organs of Wendy Bryan
The creator of these toys, Wendy Brian, said that these internal organs are so sweet that they might even appear in a movie with “Hello Kitty”. The bottom of the letter described it as “a beautiful inner world” of toys that look like real human organs, only slightly larger. Plus, each wear a nice smile.
4 Small psychiatric patients
A German toy manufacturer has introduced a controversial new range of toys, animals with a psychiatric illness. Toys are suffering from everything from bipolar disorder to acute depression. They come with their own medical history, referral letter and treatment plan. Really creepy!
5 Puppets representing the food chain
These teddies also have their own legend. They live in the planet Duro, where conditions are similar to those on Earth 200 million years ago and, of course, there are many forms of life. Toys are a good example of the relationships between species. They are sets of two, three, or five prehistoric monsters and animals that come with a curious arrangement: a small doll placed in the mouth of another slightly larger, and turn it into the mouth of another, and so on.
6 Ugly dolls
The Ugly Dolls are sold only through the Internet on the website of the brand. It all started with a letter from the creators of these dolls, David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim. The Ugly doll line was launched on January 2001 and is distinguished by its definition of the word “ugly”. In “ugly verse”, being ugly is a unique and special way of being.
It all started when American David Horvath sent his girlfriend, Sun-Min Chinese Kim a drawing in a letter from a monster called Ueyg. She had left the United States to finish his work. The bride sent him a package with a stuffed animal that was a replica of the drawing that her boyfriend made. The toy was very popular among his friends. After that, they made a whole line of Ugly dolls.
7 Giant Microbes
These toys seem to imitate strange microorganisms, but million times larger: viruses, bacteria, and cells. It is true that, at first glance, they might be mistaken for aliens, because we are not used to seeing something like this in real life. Among this collection of toys we can find something as harmless as the cells of a DNA helix (with eyes and mouth, of course), and deadly viruses like the plague. The toys are designed to give your child an idea of the microcosm around us and learn to distinguish the bad from the good. It is a strange way to educate your children.
8 Breastfeeding doll
The doll is sold under the slogan, “You have to wait until your breasts grow to start to feed a child”. The kit includes a plastic doll that is almost indistinguishable from a human baby and a special nozzle that is placed in the clothes from the girls in the place where the chest is.
This series of toys are made of a material that feels just like the human skin and hair. These toys do not have a head. The hair comes from inside of the body where the head should be. Moreover, most of them have a strange metal tail at the rear. It is surely the strangest toy collection.
10 Striptease pole
A British company produces educational toys for children from ten to twelve years of age, whose purpose is to promote the ability to understand their sexuality. The set includes a collapsible pole, which is two meters in length and can be easily installed on any flat surface, a garter belt for the money and some $100 bills. It seems like very unusual way of explaining things about sexuality to your child.
