This Dutch model is currently the face of Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Fragrance and Tom Ford Beauty and is best known for appearing on the 2010 December/January cover of Vogue Paris beside Tom Ford. She has walked for many big brands and has appeared on the cover of a ton of magazines.
This young girl was born on the 3rd of April 2005 and is known for her skin condition known as Vitiligo which causes the loss of color in random patches of skin. She was diagnosed with her skin condition, vitiligo when she was just six years old. She met her idol and fellow vitiligo-stricken model Winnie Harlow.
Many women with a condition like this would refuse to get into the fashion industry but nothing could stop Melanie. She suffers from a genetic disorder called ectodermal dysplasia, which has been with her since her birth. Regardless, this did not stop her from gaining her success in the fashion industry. She even appeared in the German metal band Rammstein’s music video.
This model gained widespread recognition due to her skin condition. She suffers from a rare skin condition called Dermatosparaxis Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome or EDS. This condition is a connective tissue disorder which makes her skin show wrinkles prematurely and makes her look way beyond her years. This has not stopped her from becoming the model she wanted to be.
