These Behind The Scene Shots Form The Best Movies Of 2018 Will Blow Your Mind
As we begin 2019, we take a look at the year that passed and all the great movies that were released. There were a number of incredible movies that made our jaws drop and won hearts. There were many movies that fans were patiently waiting for like ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ while others scared those who went to see them like ‘Hereditary’.
From the promotion of any movie, we get to see what we might expect from the actual movie but what we don’t see often is the behind the scenes. We as fans and the general audience would love to see how these films are made and what happens behind the camera before the actual filming starts. Today, we have gathered the best behind the scenes photos that will blow your mind.
1Bad Times at the El Royale
This movie was an underrated neo-noir thriller that flew under many people’s radar. It is set in the year of 1969 and has a star-studded cast with actors like Jeff Bridges, Jon Hamm and a surprising appearance of Chris Hemsworth in a role we haven’t seen him in. The movie follows seven strangers who check into the same motel with their own dark secrets following them.
The major complaints with the Jurassic Park movies after the original one was that the producers depended on CGI more than practical dinosaur suits and animatronics. The original Jurassic Park was praised for its groundbreaking special effects and practical work. As the years went by the quality of CGI was improved greatly and was used more than practical effects. Jurassic World which was released in 2015 was a sort of reboot to the franchise while keeping the prior films as cannon. This movie saw the filmmakers use life-sized animatronics as well as CGI.
What you see in the image is a camera rig that is used to shoot chase sequences with ease. This rig is specially designed for long shots when they want to film an entire sequence at one go. The rig is sturdy and can travel at a good speed while keeping the camera perfectly stable. The cameraman sits in the rig while a driver drives and controls it.
4Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
To pay homage to the original Jurassic Park movie, the latest one had quite a few practical animatronics suits. During the third and final part of the movie a new dinosaur is introduced called the ‘Indoraptor’. It was a genetically-modified dinosaur created by using Indominus rex and Velociraptor DNA. The dinosaur was created on screen by using a life-size suit as well as CGI.
5Avengers: Infinity War
‘Avengers: Infinity War’ was one of the most anticipated as well as successful movies of 2018. Seeing what the build-up of 10 long years would come too, fans and the general audience were excited. Finally, we would see the mad Titan Thanos in all his glory. He was made completely from CGI while most of the attention was given to his face. Josh Brolin who voiced Thanos had his face covered in dots so that the animators could collect enough facial data to create the Titan.
