Talented Artist Colorizes Black And White Pictures To Create Incredibly Breath-taking Results
10Mulberry Street in New York, 1900
During the late 19th and early 20th century, this part of Manhattan was the heart of Little Italy. One of the more iconic areas was Mulberry Bend. It was part of the historical and infamous Five Points. This image is filled with details and took weeks to colorize and restore. The colour adds another layer of history to this historical image.
Mark Twain, the American writer, entrepreneur, publisher and humorist was well known for his famous works that included ‘The Adventures of Tom Sawyer’ in 1876 and also its sequel ‘The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn’ in 1885. He was always praised for his satire and wit. Throughout his career, he was friends with industrialists, presidents, and other artists.

Released in February of 1933, From Hell To Heaven was an American Pre-Code drama film. The actress in the restored colourized image is Adrienne Ames. The image that now looks like a composite designed by a digital artist is just a still from the original film. The scene looks spectacular with a hint of mystery and dread with the large dark shadow.
7Evelyn Nesbit, 1900
An American artist, model and actress, whose face was in heavy circulation in newspaper and magazines because of her natural beauty and figure was Evelyn Nesbit. She came back into the limelight when her husband who was a multimillionaire, shot and killed Stanford White. The murder took place on the rooftop theatre of the Madison Square Garden on the evening of June 25th in 1906.

This image is a good example of heavy restoration and colour work. The tear in the image and the loss of details needed heavy restoration to bring them back. The later colourizing and adding of the lost details show how a skilful artist can restore a nearly destroyed image and make it look better than it used to be.
