12 Strange Events of Coincidences and Chance that will Blow your mind
At least once in our lives we all happen to witness or experience certain events that come as a great shock or surprise to us. Many of them can be haunting or there are sudden turn of events that can only be explained as sheer luck or fate. Some people just describe it as being in the right place at the right time. Some say it to be God’s anonymous presence. The skeptics look for proof and built up theories. But nothing can be crazier if you happen to capture those strange events with your camera. Here are 12 events of chance, coincidence and perfect timing that will blow your mind.
1 Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 & The One Who Cheated Death
On July 17th, 2014, the MH17/MAS17 was a passenger flight that flew from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur. While flying over eastern Ukraine, it crashed, killing 15 crew members and 283 passengers on board. It was labeled as the ‘eighth deadliest aviation disaster’. C.J Chivers, a journalist from the New York Times, pointed out a creepy coincidence. He said,” Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777, Registered 9M-MRD, made 1st flight on 7-17-97. It met its end 17 years later, to the day-aviation official.” This statement highlighted the fact that Flight MH17 had also been flying for 17 years until it crashed. The repeated numerals 7s and 17s associated with the flights is itself very creepy. Additionally, the Dutch cyclist, Maarten De Jonge had a narrow escape from death. Call it his fate or coincidence, he was to board the passenger flight MH370. It was the first Malaysian flight that disappeared on 8th March 2014. He was also to board MH17, but then he had changed his plans for a cheaper cost, to a different flight. So, you can say he was extremely lucky to have cheated death twice.
2 Lovers Who Had No Idea That They Had Met Before
Aimee Maiden, now 25 years old, had spent her growing days in the seaside village of Cornwall. Nick Wheeler, now 26 years old had lived in Kent and had visited the Mousehole beach with his family. This was 11 years before Aimee Maiden and Nick Wheeler met each other. Strange, isn’t it? Six years old Nick and 5-year-old Aimee had spent all day building sand castles and playing in the beach of Mousehole. But they were a few yards apart from each other. Their family were strangers and they were completely ignorant of each others presence. But their stars had something else in store for them. Eleven years after, Nick, a soldier moved to Cornwall and happened to meet Aimee in Truro College. Both were in the sixth form and fell in love. They got engaged and during a visit to Nick’s grandparent’s house, they decided to see through the albums. They spotted the very photograph that Nick’s grandfather had taken in the year 1994 with Aimee and Nick a few yards apart. Coincidentally, Aimee was also captured in the photograph. Aimee suddenly noticed the beach, and recognized the five-year-old girl in a swimsuit, right in the background of the picture. She literally shrieked “That’s me!” The pair married on the very spot of the beach where the photo was taken 20 years back. This really proves the saying that ‘Marriages are made in heaven.”
3 Mark Twain & Halley’s Comet
Factually, Halley’s comet passes by the planet Earth after every 76 years. But what makes the comet’s association with Mark Twain so astonishing? Mark Twain was a renowned American author. He was born on 30th November 1835, shortly after Halley’s Comet made its appearance. In the year 1909 Twain said, “I came in with Halley’s Comet in 1835. It is coming again next year, and I expect to go with it. The Almighty has said, no doubt: ‘Now here are these two unaccountable freaks; they came in together, they must go out together.” And guess what?! Twain’s prediction was accurate. On 21st April 1910, Twain died of a cardiac arrest in Redding, Connecticut. It was just a day after the comet’s closest approach to Earth was recorded. Twain astonishingly predicted his own time of death.
