A few years ago, Sahar Tabar went viral in several blog sites claiming she looked like a bizarre zombie who underwent 50 procedures in an attempt to look like her idol Angelina Jolie. Sahar the Instagram star famous for her makeup and editing transforming herself into a “Zombie Angelina Jolie” was recently sentenced to ten years in an Iranian prison just a year after she was arrested for her activities on social media. Obviously, Iran isn’t exactly a liberal state which is why people like Sahar aren’t welcomed for their opinions and activities on social media.
9She was arrested earlier in the year
Sahar Tabar is just 19. Her real name is Fatemeh khishvand who has more than 500K followers on Instagram after she posed with her eerie bizarre zombie like face claiming that she had undergone several surgeries almost 50 to be exact but now, her lawyer confirmed that she had been arrested some time back and was now sentenced to 10 years in prison on charges of corrupting young people and disrespecting the Islamic republic according to a report in the Guardian.
8Legal authorities have charged her on four counts like corruption
Sahar was charged with the act of blasphemy and inciting violence against the country. She had been arrested in October 2019 along with three other influencers with similar charges. She had been cleared of those charges after a confession broadcasted on Iranian state TV but now, she has again been sentenced instead to 10 years. While in custody in April 2020, she had contracted Covid-19 and though her lawyers tried getting her released on grounds of ill health, and the fact that she was a minor at the time of the offences but prison authorities refused.
