10 Actors who put themselves in danger while filming Action Movies
4 Buster Keaton – Steamboat Bill Jr
Although not as famous as Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton was a better physical comedian, who would risk life and limb to prove it. In his most famous stunt from Steamboat Bill Jr. He had to be placed directly under where the open window was supposed to land to leave him unscathed, after the front wall of the house falls towards him, due to a cyclone.
Despite marking the position where he had to stand with a nail, he only had 2-inches of clearance space on either side. Keaton later stated that he was angry at the time at the crew for praying before the stunt’s performance and the cameraman for having looked away while filming.
5 Matt Damon – The Bourne Supremacy
Among most of the actors putting themselves in danger for a scene, Matt Damon can be regarded as the most daring of all since he insisted on performing most of the stunts on his own in- The Bourne Supremacy.
Incidentally he was scared of the underwater drowning scenes, but performed it nonetheless. Being crushed in a multi-car pile-up is as frightening as drowning, but it didn’t prevent Damon’s car stunt performances throughout the entire series. At the climax of the movie, the most significant scene was of him smashing another car against a divide under a tunnel.
