12 Hollywood Celebrities Famous When Young But Not Heard About Anymore
There have been many popular movies in the past portraying actors who will forever be remembered for their roles. Movies like Home Alone and the Star Wars of the seventies gave fans around the world moments that will always go down in movie history as some of the best movies of all time. Unfortunately, that one particular movie turned out to be the best for its main star who delighted us in their roles but have never done very well in their acting career ever since. Here’s remembering celebrities not heard about anymore.
1 Jennifer Grey, Dirty Dancing, 1987
She was adorable as “Baby’ in Dirty Dancing alongside Patrick Swayze but what seemed to be an ideal launch to an illustrious career just fizzled out in the end. We didn’t hear much of Jennifer Grey anymore. You may have noticed her on Television when she appeared on Friends and House but that was it.

2 Edward Furlong, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, 1991
Edward Furlong had a great starring role in Terminator 2: Judgment Day for which he won an MTV and a Saturn award but that was the last of noteworthy appearances for Edward. He did a few good roles in movies like American History X and Detroit City but post 2000, there hasn’t been much of him worth any mention.

3 Robert Patrick, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, 1991
You saw him as the bad Terminator T-1000 but he never really got any defining roles as such. He has acted in several movies till date such as Bridge to Terabithia and Walk the Line but he will always walk in the shadow of the Bad Terminator.

4 Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, It Takes Two, 1995
They were adorable kids in the movie It Takes Two back in 2000 but Ashley and Mary Kate Olsen did not really have a good movie career since their last appearance together in New York Minute in 2004. Surprisingly though, they have done well as designers instead and are the most famous twins in Hollywood.

5 Jason Mewes, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, 2001
He was famous as Jay in jay and Silent Bob back in 2001 but not many know him now. Although he got into films after being helped by his director friend Kevin Smith, he has not been seen in memorable roles and will always be known as Jay.

6 Carrie-Anne Moss, The Matrix, 1999
Carrie Ann Moss enthralled us as Trinity in The Matrix opposite Keanu Reeves but after that she never really acted in main roles although she was seen in films like Memento and Chocolat. She was stereotyped as Trinity and remarked that the Paparazzi only recognized her when she wore sunglasses.

7 Mark Hamill, Three episodes of the Star Wars saga, 1977–1983
Among celebrities not heard about anymore, who will ever forget Luke Skywalker? Unfortunately for Hamill, the role ended up being a gift and a curse. Directors were not inclined to give him roles as he was always characterized as the Jedi knight from Star Wars. Hamill even suffered from depression but soon began to accept secondary roles.

8 Jake Lloyd, Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace, 1999
Hamill’s colleague from Star Wars Jake Lloyd also regretted his role. “My classmates picked on me: they mimicked the sound of a light saber every time they saw me. It was terrible. My school life turned into hell. I also had to give 60 interviews a day.” Lloyd went on to get into trouble with the law and also suffered mental health problems.

Something went mysteriously wrong for Mischa Barton the star of OC. What made things worse was her addiction problems en route to fame. Barton continued to act in films and still has time to improve her career as she is only 31.

10 Sarah Michelle Gellar, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 1997–2003
We all loved the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer made famous especially by the presence of Sarah Michelle Gellar but as always, she was too stereotyped as Buffy for directors to consider her in prime roles. Although Gellar got few roles, one was worthy of mention and that was Veronica Decides to Die based on the book by Paul Coelho. One also remembers when Gellar played the role of Daphne in the Scooby Doo movies.

11 Wesley Snipes, Blade 1998
Wesley Snipes will always be remembered as Blade but after that he somewhat disappeared. He even spent three years in prison on grounds of concealing his income and was released in 2013. It was nice to see Snipes back in action in Expendables 3.

Macaulay Culkin is one of the more famous celebrities not heard about anymore. This is one famous actor who never really hit it big after the Home Alone franchise. Despite of being one of the most successful child actors, Culkin battled addiction and faced several family problems. He started working as a DJ and has done small roles in movies. Culkin also has his own band: The Pizza Underground.
