10 Hilary Swank

The 2 times academy award winner for Boys Don’t cry and Million dollar Baby, Hilary Swank started out as a child actor at the age of 9. Her mother and she decided to try out acting as a career after her parents got divorced.

Hilary and her mother lived out their car and used to book auditions for roles using pay phones. Even her first major role in 1999’s Boys Don’t Cry, for which she received an Oscar and a Golden Globe, didn’t pay her more than $3000.

9 Kelly Clarkson

The very first winner of the reality show The American Idol, Kelly Clarkson went on to become of the most famous singers in US. Before winning her American Idol title, Clarkson had to live without a home for a period of time. She worked as a waitress to make some money for a demo tape and also had to return to her hometown due to a fire in her apartment. She managed to live out of her car and went to become one of the bar setter for American Idol contestants.

William Shatner is famous for his iconic show Star Trek. He became a huge star due to that show, but after the show ended, he had to endure a period in which he went through a divorce, lost all his money and his apartment due to no work.

Star of the Rocky and Rambo movie franchises, Sylvester Stallone is one of the greatest action heroes Hollywood has ever seen.
