The Incredible Story Of How A Tiger, Bear, And Lion Became Best Friends For Life
6They were in very bad shape
Shere khan was very malnourished and underweight so was Leo. Baloo had suffered the worst as he had a harness on which was never taken off or loosened. This cut into his skin as he grew. They had to surgically remove it in order for the animal to grow naturally and heal his wounds.
7They were scared when brought in
When the cubs were first brought to the sanctuary, Baloo, Shere Khan, and Leo were injured, frightened, and clinging to one another for comfort. They were all kept together at the place they were rescued from so they formed a bond. They were already seeking out one another for comfort and displayed affection by snuggling, grooming and playing with one another.
8They even missed each other
When the animals were brought into the sanctuary they were separated to be given the proper medical treatment. But when they were separated they began getting agitated. They especially missed Baloo who was taken into surgery to remove the harness. This is when the workers realized they need each other.
9This wasn’t surprising
The workers at the sanctuary were not surprised by this behavior. They knew that abused cubs often form a bond while together. But, what really surprised them was the fact that these cubs kept that friendship going and growing as they themselves grew up.
10Their friendship was enduring
The friendship between the three was so strong that even after years they still play together. These are not animals known for their kind nature. These three are top tier predators in their own way. But, for some reason, their bond is much stronger than their natural killer instinct.
