9 “Deadly Fart”, Amazing Internet Portfolio Award Winner – by Daisy Gilardini
This bear probably never had to smell his own farts in his entire life. But, there’s a first for everyone and just like that this is his first time. Imagine being knocked out after getting a whiff of your own fart. As you can see, this is probably what happened to this bear. So that is one seriously “deadly fart”.
10Highly Commended: “Monkey Business” By Megan Lorenz
You better avert your eyes because these monkeys seem like they are getting kind of busy there. On second thought don’t even look up and let them have their privacy. It’s nothing unusual just some personal “monkey business”.
11Highly Commended: “Sun Salutation Class” By Sue Hollis
That’s some pure laziness there, but if it’s a course in the ‘salutation class’ then he probably is doing it right. Wouldn’t it be great to float around all day while being warmed up by the sun? That right there is a moment of sheer bliss for this fella.
12 “I’ve Got You This Time!”, Think Tank Photo Junior Award Winner- By Olin Rogers
Sibling rivalry is not all that uncommon within the animal kingdom. Just like in this photo where a baby lion is sneaking up on its sibling and preparing for the opportune moment to strike. Well, kids will be kids, and sometimes these little rivalries are cute and funny to watch. The lion cub on the rocks probably is trying to get back at the other one for doing the same to him. Pretty smart way to attack- from above- he’ll never see that coming.
13Highly Commended: “The Race” By Yevhen Samuchenko
These 3 Langur monkeys seem like they are preparing for a bicycle race and are getting their bikes out of the stand. A monkey riding a bicycle! That’s going to be a sight you don’t see every day. Now imagine seeing 3 monkeys racing on bicycles!
According to Tom, the entries keep getting better each and every year. In fact, there have been even more images than ever this year. Tom shared that- “The winner, however, is never obvious at any stage of the competition! The judges are remarkably different in how they judge the humor of an image. The technical side of the photography is taken care of by Paul and myself and we then ask the judges to score the final images on humor!”
