Turkish Man Turns Barren Hill into A Thriving Forest
5Kaya succeeded in planting approximately 30 million saplings in around 10 years with before and after photos to prove his success
Hikmet Kaya afforested a large tract of land in the 1970s and 1980s, and it’s worth noting that roughly 30 million saplings were planted. A look at the before-and-after photos shows just how massive that figure is. It was Kaya’s opinion that everyone should take care of the forests when they were asked about the future.
6He always emphasized that everyone needs to work together to make sure that their efforts are a success
While working with locals, he was proud to witness the sapling he planted on those lands grow into big and strong trees. But he never stopped emphasizing the importance of why cooperation of the locals is necessary to protect, develop and maintain the afforestation project he started in the area.
7Kaya expressed joy and excitement in being part of the initiative of transforming a once barren land into a lush green oasis
Kaya stated he was ecstatic to be a part of the transformation of this land into a forest. As the former head of forest management, he dedicated his career to planting saplings. To preserve Turkey’s forests, which Kaya described as the “future of the country,” he urged the people of the country to support him in his endeavors.
