Warning Signs That Tell the Item You’re Buying is Fake
It’s still very difficult for buyers to identify fake and original products as illegal copies of big brands are present in the markets. These days, most buyers decide to buy based on the logo or brand name of the products. And when we are buying online, the chances of buying counterfeit products increase incredibly. Counterfeit products have reached markets around the world so fast that even a pro shopper cannot differentiate between counterfeit and authentic products.
Things get worse for buyers when they get convinced by crooks who sell them a cheaper product at a higher price. Modern-day copying techniques have helped the counterfeit market to flourish globally. And that’s why you need to have extra knowledge to penetrate the original and fake products.
Let us take a look at the following warning signs, which describe the item you buy as completely fake:
We want to buy all the necessary products at affordable rates and huge discounts. But sometimes, such a craving can override your brain and distract your ability to differentiate between fake and original products. If the discount you get on the products is 70 to 80% or more, then you will buy mostly counterfeit items. Although discounts are available on most things, it is almost impossible to get such huge discounts, especially on any branded product.
2Recheck the logo design
The easiest way to identify a fake product is to check its logo and design. Big brands carry unique and authentic logos on their products whereas fake branded products will have fake logos. Make sure you check the details of the company or logo icon and then make sure that it is authentic. Counterfeit items probably do not have a logo on them. But if they have a logo, then the logo will be as counterfeit as the products. Most brands use leather or metal logos on their products and counterfeit products often use a stamp in place of the logo.
3Some accessories are missing
While branded products arrive in the market with their full packages, counterfeit items will usually not have the full packages. Most companies ask their customers to double-check all additional items that should come with the main product. If you are not attentive to check goods or extra items, you can buy counterfeit products. For example, most technical products will carry things like chargers, earphones, and instruction manuals in the package. Likewise, you need to check the warranty cards when purchasing other goods and clothes.
4Spelling errors on the counterfeit products
Even if some crooks are advancing their game when creating counterfeit items, spelling errors may still be the most common mistake they can make. When purchasing products, you need to pay attention to the spelling of the logo or design of any brand. Chances are high that spelling errors will be higher on counterfeit products. If there is a logo on the products, make sure you check it at least once for spelling errors. You can also check the tags to confirm that the spelling is correct.
