12 Things Humans Just Cannot Do Says Science
Many may have heard about this one and it’s virtually impossible to feel ticklish when you tickle yourself yet when someone else does it, you may find it really hard to control. Neurologists say that there is a part of the brain that prevents us from tickling ourselves and that has also been identified in research. It can differentiate expected sensations from unexpected ones.
10Hold your own breath: you will breathe out spontaneously
It is impossible to pass out while holding your own breath and this is because you need oxygen for normal metabolic functions. Your sensory system measures CO2 levels and initiates breathing when the levels rise. Thus you will feel the need to breathe when holding your breath and this urge forces out the appropriate and necessary action.
11Rotate your hands quickly at the same speed
While some may be able to do so, most people cannot. Humans are not symmetrical beings and the same goes for your hands. The right hand is always stronger than the left and will move faster or you will find the right hand moving in a larger circle.
12Break an egg holding its top and bottom
Nature chose a spherical shape for eggs for a reason. If we try to push an egg with our fingers, pressure is distributed evenly on the surface of the whole egg. If the same pressure is on the whole egg, then the tension on the shell will be less.
By now you must have tried all of these things here, so did you succeed in any of them?
